8 High-Voltage PTC Coolant Heater Manufacturers Worth Watching in 2026

8 High-Voltage PTC Coolant Heater Manufacturers Worth Watching in 2026

2026-08-19

If you are comparing High-Voltage PTC Coolant heater manufacturers, start with the product you actually need. EVLINK, KLC, PAKE, Thermistors Unlimited and Process Technology all work with PTC heating at different product levels. Eberspächer, BorgWarner and DBK also belong on an automotive sourcing shortlist, although some of their current liquid-heater designs use thick-film, wire or tubular technology instead of ceramic PTC elements. That difference matters.

For a vehicle coolant loop, you need a complete heater with matched electronics, hydraulic interfaces and model-level validation. For an appliance or industrial tank, a ceramic element or process heater may be the better fit. This guide sorts the names by use case, shows what their official pages establish, and flags what you still need to verify before sending an RFQ.

Last reviewed: August 7, 2026. Manufacturer information was checked against the official sources linked in each entry. This is a fit-based shortlist, not a market-share ranking.

The first five entries are direct PTC manufacturers or PTC product suppliers. The last three are close automotive HVCH alternatives. They appear in the same sourcing conversations, but their present liquid-heating products do not all use PTC ceramics. Keeping that distinction visible saves a lot of wasted calls.

How We Chose These Manufacturers

We used four filters. Each company needed an official page that identifies a relevant heating product, a clear product layer, a plausible OEM or industrial use case, and enough public information to explain where the fit stops. We did not score revenue, market share or production capacity because comparable, current evidence was not available across the group.

The order is not a league table. Our review of PTC Coolant heater manufacturers is a supplier-selection exercise based on fit. A supplier that makes an excellent PTC chip may still be the wrong call for a 600 V coolant heater with CAN control. An established automotive thermal supplier may be excessive for a 120 V process vessel. Fit wins.

What Counts as a PTC Coolant Heater?

“PTC coolant heater” is used for several products that look similar in search results and behave very differently in a project.

Product type

What you are buying

Typical use

Main sourcing question

Bare ceramic PTC element

The heat-generating ceramic component

Appliance modules, lab devices, compact heaters

Who owns the housing, insulation, water-contact and control design?

PTC heat conductor or module

PTC element with a heat-transfer body

Small liquid modules, surface heating, OEM assemblies

Is it rated for the real medium, flow and electrical environment?

Industrial inline or immersion heater

A process-fluid heater with vessel or pipe interfaces

Chemical tanks, DI water, recirculating process loops

Which wetted materials, sensors and safety devices are required?

Automotive high-voltage coolant heater

A controlled heater integrated into a vehicle liquid circuit

Battery preconditioning, cabin heat exchanger and component-loop heating

Which model matches the HV bus, coolant loop, controller and validation plan?

A household hot-water appliance is another category entirely. EVLINK does not supply domestic water heaters. Its relevant product is a high-voltage heater component for engineered coolant circuits. When a PTC liquid heater manufacturer uses the word “water,” confirm whether it means drinking water, process fluid or vehicle coolant.

How PTC Liquid Heating Works

PTC means positive temperature coefficient. In a ceramic PTC element, electrical resistance rises sharply as the material approaches its switching temperature. Current falls, so heat generation naturally tapers. This material behavior can limit temperature at the element level and makes PTC useful in products that need quick electric heat.

There is an easy mistake here. Self-regulation does not remove the need for system engineering. A high-voltage coolant heater still needs suitable insulation, sensing, power electronics, fault handling and protection for low-flow or no-flow conditions. The vehicle controller also has to decide when heating is allowed and how much output the loop needs. A PTC chip cannot make those decisions by itself.

The same rule applies to performance. Rated power means little without voltage, inlet temperature, coolant composition, flow and tolerance. If a supplier gives you one large portfolio range with no model or test condition, you still do not have a specification.

1. EVLINK: Best Fit for Configurable High-Voltage PTC Coolant-Heater Projects

últimas notícias da empresa sobre 8 High-Voltage PTC Coolant Heater Manufacturers Worth Watching in 2026 0

EVLINK is a high-voltage coolant heater manufacturer supplying configurable high-voltage PTC coolant heaters for electric vehicles and specialized high-voltage thermal-management systems. The strongest fit is a project with a defined HV bus and coolant circuit, especially battery preheating, commercial-vehicle winter operation, cabin heating through a heat exchanger, or mining and engineering equipment. If you need an automotive PTC coolant heater, the vehicle architecture and loop conditions must come before the catalogue range.

Selection is handled by named model and configuration. Voltage, heating power, package, coolant connections and control method need to be matched together. Selected platforms support CAN control and diagnostic feedback; the E Series is a separate family without communication/control. That is why we do not publish one universal control claim for the portfolio.

EVLINK's certified site operates an IATF 16949 quality-management system for heater design and manufacture and an ISO 14001 environmental-management system for the stated automotive-heater scope. Selected models or configurations also have controlled compliance and test evidence. These records can support supplier review, though they do not certify every heater. You can review EVLINK's quality-control framework before asking which evidence applies to your candidate model.

Verify before RFQ: nominal/min/max HV, required output and rating condition, LV supply, coolant, flow, pressure, hose and connector interfaces, control protocol, environment, destination market and required documents.
